 Land Architects International to Offer Net Zero Energy Communities Through a New Alliance with Renewable PowerTech Inc.
Highlands Ranch, CO February 21, 2010- Land Architects International, (LAI) is pleased to announce a newly formed alliance with Renewable PowerTech Inc (RPT) will enable the firm to offer Net Zero Energy Community Master Plans for developers.
The newly formed alliance combines LAI expertise in master planning mixed use developments with the expertise of RPT who designs off grid platforms for large projects. Developers will now have access to a comprehensive suite of renewable energy technologies including advancements in energy efficiency and on site community power generation.
Residential, retail and industrial building elements will include 21 technologies through a hybrid renewable energy efficiency and generation design and will have little or no monthly recurring utility expenses. Common areas will include renewable energy generation seamlessly incorporated into the design.
"Our decision to work closely with LAI was based on our customers needs for complete comprehensive energy solutions. Having sophisticated renewable energy design and technology, our alliance allows developers to focus on project management rather than managing systems. We have everything covered, including decentralized waste water treatment and reuse technology. Natura Levo Wind Turbine Earns International Design Excellence Award, Moves to Scale Prototype Testing and Market Launch
Las Vegas NV Oct 15, 2009. Art meets renewable energy technology as the small wind energy industry receives a long awaited makeover.
Designed by Laura Sink while attending the Art Institute of Pittsburg, the Natura Levo (translated Nature Lift in Latin) is a vertical axis wind turbine with two non-traditional blades that catch the wind from any direction. Natura Levo is intended to raise awareness of natural clean energy while peacefully coexisting with its surroundings.
Designer Laura Sink announced today that “The technology will move to scale prototype testing and a short incubation period through a newly formed alliance with Renewable PowerTech Inc. (RPT).
"RPT has the experience in the VC arena and many exciting mixed-use developments they have designed to be energy independent, this will allow the technology to be implemented in large numbers and we will hit the ground running."
RPT’s President Brian Mello expressed his excitement with the new wind technology, “Finally a small wind turbine technology that is quiet and pleasing to the eye; the market is wide open internationally, but we will introduce the technology on our Motorsports Country Club mixed-use developments initially in the US.”
The wind turbine design features a variable input electrical generator, matching wind speed with generating efficiency. “We have fourteen best-in-class technologies that take our developments into off- grid status; the missing link on the green generation side was a small wind turbine that people can live with. Natura Levo completes our hybrid generation platform. We intend to spec them in our designs which will result in several thousand installations.’
The wind turbines will also serve a secondary purpose as EV (electric vehicle) Charging Stations will be mounted to the base of the pole in the common areas, shopping centers and commercial buildings. The wind turbines will replenish the draw on the grid from electric vehicles and will be deployed throughout the country.

Selects EarthSource Energy Solutions as DX Geothermal Technology Provider.
Brookline MA. October 08, 2009. The renewable energy and efficiency design firm Renewable PowerTech Inc. (RPT) announced today it has selected the direct exchange (DX) geothermal HVAC technology provider EarthSource Energy Solutions Inc. (ESES) for four of its planned mixed-use developments in the US that will supply their own energy.
RPT’s President, Brian Mello, explained; “We base our energy development platforms on best-in-class energy efficiency technology. DX Geothermal HVAC fits the bill, and will carry the heating and cooling loads for all the residences and mixed-use building elements. Although the entire energy designs contain some fourteen technologies, DX Geothermal will carry the lion’s share of the recurring monthly utility expenses. That allows us to implement complementary energy efficiency technologies to reduce further the utility costs. The balance of the base-load requirements are handled through renewable power generation. “
